JLeeLab (Alberta, Canada; “we”) operates LyricsBada (lyricsbada.com; the “Service”). We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we store and delete it.
1. What we collect and why
| Information | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google account name, email and profile picture URL | Sign-in, identifying your account, answering your questions | Until you delete your account |
| Audio files you upload | Creating subtitles (aligning lyrics to the audio) | Deleted as soon as processing ends (success or failure) |
| Lyrics you enter, generated subtitles (SRT, LRC) and song titles | Creating subtitles and letting you download them again from My page | Until you delete your account |
| Job history (request and processing times, results and error details) | Counting daily usage limits, troubleshooting and improving the Service | Until you delete your account |
| A one-way hash of your IP address | Preventing abuse of free usage limits (the raw IP address is not stored) | Until you delete your account |
| Sign-in data in your browser’s storage | Keeping you signed in | Removed when you log out |
We use cookie-free visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page visits; it does not track you across sites or build a profile. We do not collect information for advertising or marketing, and we never sell personal information. The Service is not for children under 13.
2. Service providers and storage outside Canada
We use the service providers below to run the Service. Their servers are in the United States, so your information is transferred and stored outside Canada and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there under US law. Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Questions about how these providers handle your information can go to our Privacy Officer below.
| Provider (country) | What they do | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase Inc. (US) | Sign-in, database, file storage | Account info, lyrics, subtitles, job history, audio (until processed) |
| Modal Labs, Inc. (US) | Subtitle processing servers (GPU) | Audio and lyrics (only during processing; deleted afterward) |
| Google LLC (US) | Google sign-in | Sign-in request data |
| Cloudflare, Inc. (US) | Website delivery and security, visitor statistics (no cookies) | Connection data (such as IP address), pages visited |
| GoDaddy Operating Company, LLC (US) | Website hosting | Access logs |
Retention is the same as in section 1. Information is deleted promptly when you delete your account or when our agreement with a provider ends. If you do not want your information processed outside Canada, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
3. How we delete information
- Audio files are deleted automatically right after processing.
- Audio left behind without being submitted, and jobs that stall, are removed by an automatic clean-up task.
- Choosing Delete account on My page immediately deletes your subtitles, lyrics, job history and account. This cannot be undone.
4. Your rights
You can access your information (My page), delete it (Delete account), or ask us to correct it or stop processing it at any time. You may also withdraw your consent, which means deleting your account. If you can’t do this yourself, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
5. How we protect your information
- All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Database access is restricted so each user can only see their own data (row-level security).
- We keep as little as possible — audio is deleted right after processing.
6. Privacy Officer

7. Changes to this policy
We will post notice of changes on the Service at least 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days before for significant changes that are less favourable to you.
